Chain cup is used to determine the viscosity of paints such as inks, pigments and paints. Cain cup is a simple tool for viscosity measurement. It consists of a stainless steel cup, a precise outlet hole at the bottom and a ring handle. The viscosity of the tested sample is expressed in Cai's time seconds, that is, the time required for an accurate quantitative sample to flow through the bottom outlet.
